John 3:16-18
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
We are not looking at options, or what if, or how about, etc. We are looking at facts as JESUS gave it. Consider John 3:1-8, JESUS did not give Nicodemus an option. He told nicodemus what he must do and in verse 8 how it is manifested. We are bought with a price (his blood) 1 Cor. 6:20.
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Luke11:13
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Salvation, equals Eternal life, which is through the cross of Calvary by JESUS Christ and the atonement of his shed blood.
Hebrews 9:22
In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
Romans 10:9-10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
What kind of sins have we done, it will be for whether our belief with our heart in what we do and not what we say, that through the shedding of JESUS' blood our sins are forgiven, and weather we have accepted him as our LORD and savior by a broken heart and a contrite spirit.
Psalms 34:18
The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Not just in words but in action of obeying his word entirely. If you have decided; you want eternal life when you depart from this life, it can begin now, with you acknowledging to GOD that you are a sinner and you repent of your sins. Ask him to fill you with his HOLY SPIRIT through the new birth, and find a church that are willing to help you grow and request water baptism.
Luke 15: 7
Congratulations, there is rejoicing in Heaven over one sinner that repents.
